Choo-Choo at the Zoo, CDBaby loves you. If you wanted to give an original gift to the new Emperor in training, a good place to start would be CDBaby.com,the little CD store with the best new independent music. Although we're linking to their kids and family section, be sure and check out their main link at www.cdbaby.com. Adults just want to have fun too.

CDBaby's energy is like it's way fab logo, a company with an upbeat zany attitude yet a great business sense, well designed and easy to navigate web site, and really easy ordering. (CDBaby loves Moira, announced an email milli-seconds after a recent order for Chicago musican Steve Rashid's Choo-Choo at the Zoo CD. Later, when the order was shipped, I was told that my picture was now up in the offices as their customer of the year. The suprise saga of the shipment of the order should be read aloud on the Colbert Report.

Here's their complete (and serious) writeup on Steve's label, Woodside Avenue.

The Woodside Avenue label, which currently includes Rashid's own solo recordings ("As In A Mirror," "I will hold your tiny hand" and "Fidgety Feet") as well as those of four other artists, is focused on creating audio products for families to share. Rashid's work in the field of family entertainment has received over 20 national awards, including the Parents' Choice Gold Award, the American Library Notable Children's Recording, the AFIM Indie Award, the National Parenting Publications Gold Award and the Children's Music Web Award. Parents' Choice said, "Singer/songwriter Steve Rashid has created a whole new musical category for kids and parents."
